Vol 4/ 2011

Ladies & Gentlemen
Dear customers and friends of Hankook Tire.

Welcome to the fourth newsletter for 2011.

Half-time in the DTM: the first half of the DTM season 2011 came to an impressive end with the show event in Munich's Olympic Stadium in July. The famous stadium located in the heart of the Bavarian capital was the venue for the gigantic motor sport spectacle for the first time. The DTM pilots battled out the course, that was especially setup for the event for two days: the task for our Hankook slicks was - as always - to ensure the necessary grip. And the F200 has been able to impressively prove itself once again. Car makers and drivers alike were very pleased with the performance of our tyres at the show event.

The DTM carried on in August. Our tyres were able to display constantly high performance at the NŸrburgring in changeable weather conditions and helped the two-time DTM champion, Mattias Ekstršm from Sweden, to bring home his first victory in the 2011 season. After the summer break we are expecting another exciting race in Brands Hatch (UK) on 4 September 2011, in Oschersleben (D) on 18 September 2011, in Valencia (ES) on 2 October 2011 and the final at the Hockenheimring in Germany on 23 October 2011.

At the beginning of the year, we announced that we wanted to increase our brand awareness. Alongside our successful motorsport commitment, we have also extended our football sponsoring activities. In the season 2011/2012, which has just begun, we will now be present in the German Bundesliga, the English Premier League, the Ligue 1 in France, Serie A in Italy, Primera Division in Spain as well as the Russian Premjer-Liga. Furthermore we will expand our activities and will now also be involved in the Swedish football market. With our commitment in one of the most popular European sport, we want to strengthen our brand awareness further and reach important target groups thus effectively supporting our business partners with sales activities.

I look forward to sharing further news from Hankook with you soon.

With best wishes from Neu-Isenburg.
